The semaglutide dose & cost ladder
Two things this page does: shows the FDA-label titration schedule for the brand products, and computes what dose-laddered pricing does to your year. One thing it will never do: calculate injection volumes. Compounded concentrations vary by pharmacy, drawing errors are a documented FDA concern, and that math belongs to your pharmacy label and prescriber — full stop.
| Label schedule (brand) | Dose |
|---|---|
| Weeks 1–4 | 0.25 mg/wk |
| Weeks 5–8 | 0.5 mg/wk |
| Weeks 9–12 | 1 mg/wk |
| Weeks 13–16 | 1.7 mg/wk |
| Week 17+ | 2.4 mg/wk |
2.4 mg weekly is the label maintenance dose; your prescriber sets your actual schedule. Compounded programs may use non-label schedules — that is part of the "personalized dosing" gray zone.
Ladder vs flat, over 12 months
Both assume calendar-month billing; 4-week billers add ~8.7% — restate first with the true-month tool.
Label schedule per the brand prescribing information, shown for cost planning and expectation-setting only. This is not dosing advice; never adjust dose or calculate volumes yourself.
